This program is for anyone wanting to learn about agile through a light-hearted learning experience about this relevant, yet serious topic.

  • Taught by an agile coach

    This course is designed to maximise your learning experience, which includes being taught by an agile coach with rich experiences to share. In addition to teaching, your coach will guide you in exploring how learnings might be applied to your own context.

    Unlike traditional full day courses, the staggered, yet structured nature of our offering provides ample opportunity for learners to explore how learning might be practically applied. It also creates an opportunity for learners to receive and offer meaningful feedback.

  • Who should attend?

    Anyone needing a solid understanding of what it means to be agile and what that means in practice. Even if you already have agile experience, there is heaps to be gained by refreshing your memory and gaining fresh new insights. It's also for those who feel they will benefit from a globally recognised agile certification.

  • What about our leaders?

    We recommend that all team members, including leaders, participate in this program. This ensures a shared understanding and common language, which is important when discussing how to apply course learnings. We also recommend that leaders at any level should also consider our Leadership Agility programme.

  • What will you learn?

    This results-driven course emphasizes understanding the agile mindset, values & principles. You will learn techniques for prioritizing work and experience many aspects of Scrum and Kanban. You will learn about anti-patterns that often “get in the way” and discover techniques to help deal with them. See below for more detail.

  • Will you get a certificate?

    Yes! On successful completion you will be awarded your ICAgile Professional (ICP) certification to display proudly on professional profiles such as LinkedIn and your CV. Successful completion means you complete any prework required, attend all classes and participate and contribute to the overall learning experience.

  • How is it delivered?

    Online classes are delivered online over 3 weeks. Participants are expected to attend a 4.5 hour online class per week, as well as complete roughly 90 minutes of pre-work prior to attending In-person options are also available on request.

  • At the end of the program

    At the end of the programme, you will be well on your way to to kick-starting your agile journey, understanding the agile mindset and how you might apply techniques, practices and frameworks to help you bring it to life in your context.

  • Optional Add-On

    In addition to the Agile Kick-Start programme, you can request an additional learning block, that provides a high level introduction to design thinking, adaptive strategy and emotional culture.

  • How applying Kanban principles to your process can help teams to "stop starting and start finishing".

  • How applying Scrum principles can help teams develop a "heartbeat" that encourage regular feedback, collaboration and alignment.

  • Techniques for communication, agile planning and estimation, and incremental delivery of value.

  • How to recognise anti-patterns that may get in the way of agility and what you might do about them.
